Since 2000 I am professor of mathematics at the University of Siegen. Before I have been full professor at the University of Bordeaux, France (1993 to 2000), researcher at the Max-Planck-Institut für Mathematik in Bonn, Germany, assistant professor at the university of Bonn (1986 to 1993), and lecturer at the university of Philadelphia, USA (1986).
My general field of research is number theory, in particular automorphic forms. Currently I am mainly interested in relations between vertex operator algebras, or rational 2-dimensional conformal field theories, Kac Moody algebras and number theory. There are recent publications of mine available on this site.
If you know a nice palindrome (any language, any writing system), please email to me or submit it using the form on the palindromes page. I shall append it then to my collection of palindromes . I have a very nice mathematical genealogy, which I am very proud of :-)
